Scott Peterson: Guilty of First Degree Murder - rushroom.com (What You Should Think)

Scott Peterson is Guilty of first degree murder. Some of us still wonder how Scott Peterson got himself, 150 pounds of Lacy Peterson and enough concrete to sink her in that tiny boat without capsizing but hey, what do I know?

That conviction carries the death penalty or life without parole. Peterson was also convicted in the death of Laci Peterson"s unborn son, but the jury found that he did not plan that killing. The second-degree murder conviction carries a sentence of 15 years to life.

Looking at Andrea Yates and Darlie Routier, I think its time to do a full-blown support site. If the women get support sites after they kill, why cant Scott Peterson have one?

A clean house tell's a story , what was in his and her's home that made the mpd police feel somthing was not right. a mop and rug out of place, woman purse and keys in a closet no sign of her leaving the home in a hurry a clean house and notting on the stove or bake goods on the counter cooling off. who would harm or take such a beauty of a young woman week's away from having her first child. A jerk for a husband who was more of a man/child more interested in living the life of a fraternity brother on a college campus than making a serious commitment to his marriage. A man having an affair with a woman with her own child would he gamble it all way for that.A woman who had a job dealing with people and yet knew notting of a missing woman in a town her own sister lived in. lacie met with a fate that deserve that no rock should have been left uncovered no matter where it took to find those answer.

I have read all the book on the Scott Peterson case and followed it since the day Laci's beautiful face appeared on the News.I do have to admit that there is a part of me that remains unsure of Scott's guilt.I think all the evidence was circumstanial. I do agree that alot points to him and he is guilty of alot of stupid things but don't know about murder.I think we all need someone to blame this on because it was so horrible.Out of respect for Laci's family ..I dont want to comment to much but I DO FEEL SORRY FOR BOTH FAMILIES BUT wish The petersons(Lee and Jackie ) did not act like such ASSHOLES to Laci's family.I understand the need to protect their son but WTF !!!!Laci was their daughter in law and their Grandson..WOW these people truly make my stomach turn.Whether right or wrong about Scott ,although I believe in the death penalty..I dont in this case .Prosecution did not deliver for me...Sorry JMO but I will add if you find real proof then he IS where he belongs!!

I am surprised this website supporting Scott has taken so long to materialize.

How can someone be sentenced to death on circumstantial evidence! This guy may or may not have murdered his wife &; unborn child but to sentence him to death! Hey, with a justice system like that, who would want to live? It's been proven that women have gone missing before and been washed up on the same shore as Laci. Maybe the police have the same problem in Modesto as they have in Kansas with the BTK killer. They can't find the urgency in the matter to be bothered investigating deeper. The people want their pound of flesh and don't care where they get it from. They want retribution and they want it now! The husband seems like an easy target so they always go after him. This kind of reminds me of the Shephard case that took place back in the '60's. The husband is still in jail I believe.

Apparently Scott hired a psychic after Laci's disappearance to try to get info on his own. I think he knew he'd be a suspect and tried to keep his cool throughout the entire scene as he knew it would be definately to his benefit.

He did remain cool and confident as I believe only an innocent man can be. I think if he was guilty, the prosecution could have brought out the maniacle murderer in him in some way. He appeared to me to have more of a "lover" and not a "fighter" mentality. Yes, he flirted and tempted, but because he knew he could. There are few men that don't get tempted to fool around. Amber Frey was seriously tempting by posting seminude pictures of herself on the internet - give me a break! She was seriously provacative in those pics. Did that ever come up as an issue during the hearing? Probably not. She wanted to have an relationship - illicit or not! She didn't care who or what it was about otherwise she wouldn't have advertised herself like that.

Crossing the boundaries seems to me to be what this whole thing turned out to be about and not whether he was actually guilty or not.

Just looking at Scott's face and demeanor - he seemed to lose pounds every day he was there and his ashen complexion spoke for itself. He was affected by this, in spite of what you think. I saw a man tormented and broken by this and hope that he can be proven innocent.

tp-bflo, ny Are you blind; nuts? I really don't know any male(husband) who would go fishing on Christmas Eve, when wife is just about to give birth....And if you do I would question your motive as well. Whats really funny about that is....No one else knew he was going fishing... If you like fishing, (as I do) and if you are familar with the different types of fishing tacs, you will know to not use fresh water tacs, on salt water fish...He did'nt even have the proper fishing tack and gear. I don't know about you, I do have a man in my life and if he was to buy a small boat, I would think he would at least tell me (the wife) or one of his buddies or family members about it. All of this is common sense and if you really feel he is not guilty, well... I would think you would make the worst kind of detective. I have dark hair, and was a prime suspect for murdering my wife or husband. I wonder if I would dye my hair blond and take a family members vehicle with $ 17,000.00 and with assortment of I D's (like a passport?) and travel close to the border, (when an investigation was going on) would not make me look a little guilty. I wonder? Get a clue.....

JoJoFox. You raise some interesting information. I will address the last few. Where/when/why/with what. Where: in the house. Even though no blood found it is possible with strangulation and smothering to not leave a crime scene. There will be fibres and hairs, but hey this is the murderers house is'nt it. When: 10 minutes - 45 minutes. Why: I think that is obvious. It is not Amber or money. It is freedom, freedom, freedom. Quite a bit of luck there for someone who has said in a lie to someone that he is a widow and has just lost his wife to then be completely free of all responsibility. No wife and now no child. Right at the last month when the child will be coming into the world it is taken. Now how lucky is that for a guy who it trying to romance a new girlfriend. No baggage to worry about. With what: well because the bodies were weighed down from points on the body, the head and arms were ripped off. Now I am being a bit morbid here, but if you were to weigh a body down. Why weigh it down around the head. Could it be that if the weight was going to be too much and the head will detach it may take away all evidence of strangulation. Weighing down by the head makes absolutely no sense except to get rid of evidence of method of death. Period!

I more or less have a few questions to ask than a comment to add: I don't care about the concrete if it is the same as the driveway blah blah blah because it is irrelevant, what is relevant is what is left behind in his warehouse with his boat. 1. There are 4 concrete rings on the floor of the warehouse, what became of the anchors that were obviously made and are now nowhere to be found? If the defense can produce those boat anchors or concrete blocks that he made. Scott is part way to getting off. Remember Scott only bought the boat a few weeks before going missing so the concrete things were made in December. Where are they? 2. Mark Geragos promised in his opening statement that he will prove that Scott did not murder his wife and unborn son even though the burden is on the prosecution. How did he prove his case? Thats right the expert that testified for the defense on the age of the unborn feotus did. NOT! When he was flustered and said "Hey can you cut me some slack here". Nice proof Mark. You may be a good lawyer but noone and I say noone could have got Scott off here. My personal feeling is Scott is as guilty as hell, but his conviction will unfortunately be overturned on appeal because of question marks over the jury. I also believe that any new trial or trials will always return either a hung jury or a guilty verdict because you will never find 12 people who believe Scott to be innocent. 3. On an On The Record episode they aired a tape that may not have been played to the jury. It is in February (before the bodies of Lacie and Conner were discovered) and has Scott talking to his Mother and lying about his location. He said he was in (forget the name of it), but it was 180 miles away from his real location which was the Berkeley Marina. Why lie and secretly be at the Berkeley Marina watching the police search the Bay without their knowing he was there? Could it be a guilty mind and he was scared of what may be discovered, because the bodies were not found yet so there was no need to be there "SECRETLY" and that is the thing that is worriesome. He watched the police do their job "SECRETLY". Why? 4. Why did the bodies wash up where he said he was? Yes thats right he was framed. Well the only reason he said he was at the marina was because a maintenance man the police spoke too said he saw Scott there. No getting out of that one. 5. How many people out there when having a missing wife and baby, will romance the girlfriend, sell the wife's car and enquire about trying to sell the house? Hmmmmmmmm! 6. Ambers new book deal does not make one iota bit of difference because this was not a he said/she said situation. Amber has to say nothing because all the talking is on the tapes straight from the horse's mouth, Scott Peterson himself. If there were no tapes then a book deal is relevant because it comes down to the motive to say what she said, but it is irrelevant because Scott was (unfortunately for him) caught on tape while his wife and baby are missing. Ambers character does not come into question because the tapes say it all. 7. Could it be that this was a simple Husband murders Wife crime and Scott thought that even though he will be the prime suspect, the police will never be able to pin him to the crime thus he will get away with it. My take on it is Scott murdered his wife. The media for some "who knows why" reason got involved big time. They put tremendous pressure on the police. Thus they went after their prime suspect, Scott who under all the pressure from the police began to crack. I think he would have got away with it if the media had not put tremendous pressure on the police to try and catch Scott (a master of the lie) in a situation even he the master could not talk his way out of. 8. I could not give a stuff how he behaved in the courtroom. If Scott would get on the stand and explain the above questions to the courtroom, he would then at least be on the record with a explanation. We all knows he could not care less about his wife. I would convict him solely on the above unless he takes to the stand and gives a good explanation for the very worriesome facts in this case.

tom, it's a scary thought to think one could be convicted and senctenced to death on how someone presents themselves to a jury. I and many others feel as if there was NOT a single piece of "concrete" evidence that show'd he killed Laci &; Conner....

I think your argument is valid. But there was no other explanation presented to the jury by the defense that could lead them to believe otherwise. Also, the way he was acting was what did him in.

Scott is the victim of an single focused law enforcement effort. How many more incidents of padding evidence and excluding information needed to be exposed to reveal that the entire investigation was a :scott-hunt' from the beginning? I find a serious lack of attention to the following situations..... 1) the possibility of foul play occurring in Laci and Scott's crime ridden neighborhood was more then VERY likely.....and especially since Laci had been confrontational to vagrants.....she most certainly could have met her demise at the hands of these. Seems there was sooo much criminal activity touching their lives: the breakins, the robberies, the thefts, the suspicious characters......Damn if my neighborhood had that amount of criminal activity, I would move ! And still Scott was the only suspect ????That is unforgiveable. 2) The ten minute window of time that was mapped out by the investigators as the ONLY time foul play could have occurred to Laci (10:08 to 10:18) has a very serious flaw. Consistnetly through various testimonies is the fact that no one's time frame matches the Sub station used to track Scott's cell. It appears that consistently the times reported by witnesses (Sharon Rocha, Neighbors, etc) do not match the sub stations.....there apprears to be a 20-30 min error.....Mr Geragos mentioned this but did not elaborate..and He needed to highlight this , repeat it and emphasize it to the MAX.! Add 20-30 minutes to the window of time and it is clear the Scott did indeed leave the home at 9:30 ish.......The window is now 45 minutes.and that would be more than enough time for Laci to mop, walk the dog and be seen by witnesses and abducted ...Yet the Prosecution stuck to the 10 minute window theory. 3) How thoroughly was Laci's substitute teaching assignments investigated ?As a substitute for Philad Schools and Suburban schools i can attest to the often open hostility a substitute encounters. My car was vandalized and I was verbally threatened..A very visual pregnancy could be the center of quite a few perverse comments and actions......not always overt...could a wacko student have been at fault. It is a possiblity....It certainly would have been a possiblity if I had mysteriously met my demise. Was this connection ever investigated.....did anyone speak to the students....Evidentally Laci taught in a variety of schools coming in contact with a wide variety of students...normal and abnormal. I only hope that more investigation continues....and that the real story comes to light...that the real killers are discovered. I do not believe the verdict convicted the right person....Scott did not do this deed...the prosecution's evidence paints a very vague picture at best...no one should be executed based on a very vague picture. How, where, when , why and with what....way too much speculation, not enough proof. I only hope Scott can maintain his sanity through this horrendous ordeal. I will continue to follow this case. It is not yet over.

Honestly....now that they found him guilty I only hope they do not give him the death penalty. I have a feeling that too much focus was on his secret life rather than his real intentions. I think that Scott was like many other married people, a bit detached from the "reality" and may have fanaticized about being single. But that does not make him guilty of murder. Seems to me that he had nothing to gain by killing his wife with the inheritance she was going to receive, but with Laci being gone...someone else did. I don't feel as if enough was done to look into other areas of their lives before Scott was arrested. Also, I do not feel comfortable with the issues (3 of them being kicked off?), coming up with the jury at the very end of the trial and also feel that they came back way too soon with a guilty verdict…seems to me that jury was somehow convinced to end it right away.....someone on that jury believed that Scott was innocent and someday in the future I'm certain we will learn of the truth. “Whatever that maybe.”
