My Profiles in Ignorance Series continues.

Louis Farrakhan has outdone himself, cementing his place next to Julian Bond and Jesse Jackson. When I originally heard this rumor I thought it was just the usual e-mail conspiracy that seems to land in my e-mail box every now and again.

Not this time.

It would seem that Louis Farrakhan and his minions allege that the levies breaking in New Orleans was the result of the government dynamiting (or some other explosive means) the levies to ensure that black neighborhoods (the 9th Ward) were wiped out and subsequently, rebuild New Orleans into a white city.

I then saw a story on CNN where the queried people in the shelters about the conspiracy theory and many agreed. Even Spike Lee decided that it was plausible.

Now for some bullets:

• Anyone who says such a thing got to be incredibly gullible, ignorant or, both.
• Louis Farrakhan has got to be either the smartest man on the planet or just another ignorant black man .
  • The smart part here, is that he can take advantage of the fact that blacks will believe anything you put in front of them as long as it blames someone on the right or, you can associate it with racism. (Robert Byrd not included, he is a Democrat) He can make his case that New Orleans had its levies bombed with Katrina and in the past, blame it all on George W. Bush and, get new members, new contributions and new five percenters.
  • The dumb part is that while on the one hand he preaches responsibility and proper conduct to black people, he screws his credibility by spouting off such dreck.
• Anyone who believes this has got to be incredibly gullible, ignorant or, both.

According to them, they have evidence of the use of explosives and plan to sue the FEMA and the Bush Administration. My opinion however, is that they don't have a shred.

But facts never mattered to most blacks anyway right? Of course not.
